Niokolo Koba park

Day 1: DAKAR - GATES OF NIOKOLO KOBA (Wassadou) (About 510 km / 08h)

Departure early in the morning from Dakar or Saly by road, discovery of the shrub steppe, favorite area of ​​nomadic breeders. Lunch at the restaurant "Le Relais de Kaolack", located on Kundam beach by the Saloum river. Continue to Wassadou by the Gambia river and settle in at the Wassadou hotel at the edge of the Niokolo Koba park. Typical huts comfortably equipped to combine pleasure with nature and relaxation ... Dinner and overnight at the Wassadou hotel.

DAY 2: WASSADOU - NIOKOLO KOBA PARK - WASSADOU (About 160km / 02:30)
After breakfast, departure in 4 × 4 for a full day of safari, in search of the many species that inhabit the park: hyenas, hippos, monkeys of all kinds, antelopes, gazelles etc.…, in the heart of a vegetation lush and varied.
Picnic lunch in the park. Continuation of the safari in the heart of the park. Observation of the fauna, but also of the flora, very rich in this environment: numerous plant species having for many domestic or medicinal uses. Return to the Wassadou hotel, dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: NIOKOLO KOBA PARK - TAMBACOUNDA - KAOLACK (About 410km / 6h30)
In the morning, canoe trip on one of the banks of the Gambia river to observe wildlife and hippos (depending on the water level) or visit the surrounding villages then drive to Tambacounda for lunch. Continue to the town of Kaolack. Installation at the Kaolack Relais, relaxation by the pool. Dinner and overnight at the Relais de Kaolack.

DAY 4: KAOLACK –MBOUR - DAKAR (About 215km / 3 h)
We will resume the way back to Saly or Dakar. Stop in Mbour for lunch at Blue Africa. Afternoon of relaxation on one of the most beautiful beaches of the small coast then transfer to Saly or Dakar.
